Procurement Executive

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Executive to join our team. The person will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the organization in a cost-effective and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. He/ she must be well organised and must have experience in booking hotels/ transport for the traveling employees in a cost effective manner adhering to the company policy.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's needs and objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Booking air/ rail/ road transport and hotels for employees who travel for business in the most effective way. 
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing and terms.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers.
  • Review and analyse purchase requisitions to determine the best sourcing strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
  • Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts and agreements.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination on procurement activities.
  • Prepare and present reports and updates on procurement activities to management as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Required Skills:


  • 2-3 years of work experience in the field of procurement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges, resolve issues with suppliers, and find creative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices. Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement software/systems.
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers. Strong negotiation skills to secure the best value for goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments. Clear and concise communication in negotiations, correspondence, and reports.
  • Ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers. Strong negotiation skills to secure the best value for goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in all procurement activities. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mandatory bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Candidates must obtain 60% throughout marks in all the board exams.
